Spanning the entire width of the house, the kitchen is tucked away at the rear. With french doors leading to an expansive deck, it’s a great entertaining space giving you room to cook and still visit with your guests.

A breakfast bar at one end provides casual dining space when needed.

Soaring ceilings make this large room feel even more spacious and the tall windows allow plenty of natural light to fill the space, making for a cheerful spot to gather for meals and parties.

The 2 full baths are probably the rooms that need the most work, but they are centrally located in the home and are not so large that renovation costs will be out of control.

The unique layout of a traditional shotgun home means that the rooms are one behind the other from front to back.

628 Seguin has remained true to the original layout of 2 rooms, a short hall with a full bathroom, 2 more rooms and the kitchen at the rear. The only difference is that because the home was originally a double the rooms are duplicated on each side of the house, with a connection between the hallways and between the 4th rooms on each side and an extra large kitchen that spans the entire width of the house.

Original pocket doors separate the 2 front rooms on both sides. Traditionally, the front room was used as living spaces with all of the others used as bedrooms.

Through the years, many residents have started using one side of the house for living and dining spaces and the other side for bedrooms.

Depending on how you use the space, you could have up to 7 bedrooms in this house!
